The house
behind
the fold.

Zuha is a quiet studio of seven, working in small editions from a brick walk-up in the east end. We design what we wear; we ship what we'd give a sister.

2024

01

The weave came first.

A full year on fabric alone — testing modal weights, jersey densities, drape across a hundred shoulders. We wouldn't print a single hangtag until the cloth was right.

Spring 2025

02

Twelve shades, no shortcuts.

Our first capsule launched with twelve colours — each dyed in a single batch, washed three times, photographed in real morning light. No 'restock' until the rest is sold.

The hangtag became a ritual.

We added a single-use QR to every tag. Scan, enter your order, receive a code that never expires. A quiet thank-you, kept open.

The Process

How a single hijab becomes a Zuha.

step 1

Source the weave

Modal from a single mill in Lahore. Jersey from a family workshop in Istanbul. We meet the makers; the cloth has names attached.

step 2

Cut & hand-finish

Every edge is rolled by hand, every seam pressed twice. A single piece passes through three hands before it folds.

step 3

Wrap as a ritual

Folded into a fabric pouch with a matching cap, two magnets, and a hand-tied hangtag. No plastic, no filler, no rushed unbox.

Zuha Rahman · Founder

"I started Zuha because every hijab I owned felt like a compromise — too thin, too dyed, too rushed. I wanted one that felt like the rest of my wardrobe."

We're not a fast brand. A new shade takes us four months of wash tests before it ships. If you receive a Zuha, it's because we'd wear it ourselves the same week.
